Supervised By Louis Laves-Webb, LCSW, LPC-S
My name is Irina Garcia and I am a bilingual psychotherapist fluent in English and Spanish. I view my role as a therapist to be one of support and growth and a witness that will help guide you in the process of healing and self-discovery, I believe that this process should be unique and tailored to the individual based on their needs and preferences. I have a collaborative approach and encourage the client to be the expert of their life. I believe the connection between the client and counselor is most effective when it is empathetic, comforting, and trusting.
I work with individuals, adolescents, couples and families in a warm, safe, and caring environment. I use an integrative and eclectic approach, incorporating a variety of therapeutic principles and philosophies in order to create the ideal treatment plan to meet my client’s needs and goals.
I encourage clients to discuss emotions and experiences and will oftentimes use creative and challenging techniques to make sense of something. I will help you identify goals and potential solutions based on your needs. I believe that individuals have the skills needed to change or improve their life.
