Introduction

Interview with Katie Webb

You may be experiencing low self-worth, difficulty in your relationships, grief and loss, symptoms of anxiety or depression, or navigating the impacts of stress, abuse, or trauma.

Maybe you’re looking for a therapist who understands that we are formed and wounded in relationship, and we also find healing in real, authentic relationship.

The quality of the relationship we develop together in our work has a profound impact on the overall benefits of therapy - so I work to create an environment of safety, trust, and genuine attuned presence so that you feel supported in doing the deep and vulnerable work of self-discovery and growth.

My clients are often examining how their early life relationships have formed the way they relate today. Some things that have worked in the past may not be working for you anymore. Patterns such as shame and people-pleasing may be creating a drain on your wellbeing. I help clients explore their patterns and develop creative and authentic strategies for moving forward.

I specialize in working with these issues & populations:

  • Developmental and Relational Trauma Recovery
  • People Pleasing
  • Shame & Self-Worth
  • Grief & Loss
  • Anxiety/Depression
  • Existential Issues
  • Spiritual/Religious Trauma, Harm, & Abuse
  • Family Members of Individuals Sentenced to Death or Executed

I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University, and completed my practicum/internship at Capital Area Counseling in Austin, Texas. I have nearly 3 years of experience working with adult individuals and couples around issues such as exploring relational patterns, developmental and relational trauma recovery, shame and self-worth, and grief.

Prior to pursuing my license as a therapist, I worked for 10 years as a portrait and wedding photographer and a few years working in the food & beverage service industry.

I love going to the movies, reading a good book, drinking coffee, and spending time with friends or in nature.
