Welcome to my practice. I would like start by acknowledging your effort for taking the initial step of exploring therapy as a healing tool. Psychotherapy can be a process that is truly life changing. I believe one of the most important aspects of counseling is the relationship between the client and therapist. A sturdy and trusting therapeutic relationship can allow you the freedom to explore deep feelings, vulnerabilities, and experience insightful awakenings.

Many people establish patterns and defense mechanisms throughout their developing years that serve them well in their youth, but that can develop into destructive patterns in adulthood. Our earliest experiences can shape us profoundly, and psychotherapy offers the structure to help build awareness around these experiences including, exploration of childhood experiences, how we feel about them, and what meaning they continue to provide today.

Although I enjoy seeing clients from a variety of backgrounds, I have a specialization in working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities who are entering/reentering the workforce; as well as longer term psychotherapy experience at Capital Area Counseling. I have a masters in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelors in Kinesiology also from the University of Texas at Austin.

Some of my previous professional experience includes working with the non-profit Marathon Kids, and working in tech industry for TippingPoint and Hewlett Packard Enterprise in sales compensation roles. My own experience and deep interest in psychotherapy led me to pursue a career transition.

I have lived in Austin for many years, and enjoy being a member of several different communities. In my spare time I like to play with my dog and enjoy participating in several sports.
