Supervised By Louis Laves-Webb, LCSW, LPC-S
My name is Kaitlyn Begnaud Terro, LPC-Associate and I specialize in working with individuals and couples.
I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, sexual trauma and overall dissatisfaction with their lives. I enjoy delving deep into the reasons why life may not be going as planned and I work at truly understanding my clients’ perspective and helping facilitate change.
Additionally, My work with individuals includes a specialization in transition periods in which greater clarity maybe necessary. I hold space for your feelings, your beliefs, and your processes that arise as you tackle challenging times.
Couples can enter therapy for a multitude of reasons: sexual dissatisfaction, premarital preparation, or constant arguments. I am passionate about couples counseling and all matters of the heart. My couples approach emphasis aims at increasing intimacy, working through problem areas, and discovering each other in new and empowering ways. I welcome and celebrate non-traditional relationships and ways of coupledom. Being a friend, life partner, child and parent are often some of the most meaningful, yet challenging roles that we play. Managing seemingly conflicting roles can be distressing and often require reflection and creative problem solving. I am your ally in these endeavors.
My strength is in helping couples achieve desires that are not presently being met, increasing positive communication, and creating workable and constructive conflict resolution.
My approach to therapy is one rooted in relationships and the safety and trust that allow you to be your most authentic self, while honoring the differences in each of my clients. By joining together in a collaborative and exploratory relationship, you are given the opportunity to grow, learn about yourself as well as those around you, and experience a more meaningful life.
As a south Louisiana native, I know that culture influences everything that we see, say and do. I aim to honor the differences in my clients that make them who they are. I enjoy serving clients from differing backgrounds and cultures which allows for a dynamic view of people and their experiences.
