Louis Laves-Webb, LCSW, LPC-S

Upon receiving my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995, I began working with children and adolescents in the foster-care system on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country. From there, I was promoted to working in the juvenile justice field and ultimately was responsible for overseeing the entire Texas Youth Commission Parole Division in Williamson County, Texas. During this time my insatiable curiosity about the human condition began to really materialize, and after my own introspective soul searching, I eventually concluded that my truest desires and interests would best be served in the field of psychotherapy. I enrolled in the Masters Program in Clinical Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with honors in 2002.

Since my graduation, I have been serving individuals, couples, and families as a psychotherapist. I feel honored and privileged to be a part of my clients lives in such a personal way and I remain intensely captivated with my chosen profession. My practice has evolved to include a significant externship component aimed a supporting associate psychotherapists while they advance their clinical skill set, cultivate their own practices and brands, and more exhaustively meet the mental health needs of our central Texas community. Additionally, I have extensive and invaluable counseling experience to include working in partnership with: Child Protective Services, the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, Legal Aide, the Texas Lawyers Assistance Program, The University of Texas Counseling Center, The Austin State Hospital, Capital Area Mental Health, Williamson County Juvenile Services, Central Texas Counseling, Hays County Drug and Alcohol Center, EAP services, and the Psychotherapy Associates of Judy L. Alexander, LCSW.

I am recognized by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor. In my downtime I enjoy my goats, motorcycles, environmental matters, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
